My brother N prepared a fantastic Tapas buffet for Christmas Eve. He even decorated the room with Spanish flags, red and yellow balloons and (this was a nice touch) matching tulips.
We had (amongst other things) manchego cheese, jamon serrano, quince jam, broad beans cooked with spinach, chorizo with mushrooms, chicken croquettes, chorizo sausage rolls, octopus in a piquant sauce, patatas bravas, huge prawns in garlic and chili and olive rolls (I made those).
We had a great time – it was a really fun and innovative meal to make for Christmas Eve – certainly beat my usual ‘rice salad and sausage rolls’.
