This must be the first year that my Christmas cactus has looked likely to have flowers on it for the big day. Last year it wasn’t anything like ready even by the end of January and didn’t end up properly coming into flower until February. Looking promising for this year!
These were some amazing icicles we saw last year on the way up to the waterfalls.
A few years ago I bought my mum a reproduction of the famous Egyptian cat for Christmas. No sooner had we taken it out of the box than Schrodi colonized it. He didn’t quite fit into the moulded polystyrene shape but he did his best.

The two cats sound asleep in their beds in front of the fire. This is a rare event as normally there is a fight for one of the beds with the other one being quite ignored. Perhaps this is just peace on earth good will to all cats….
