Some fun with the cats
Poor little Saphy hasn’t been very well for a few weeks – she has bladder stones, and we have been trying to get them to dissolve with a special urinary diet prescribed by the vet. She may need to have an operation if they don’t clear up.
But today she seemed alright. First of all I found just the head of a rodent in the kitchen, and the body (hopefully of the same creature) in the lounge. Then when I was getting out of the shower I heard a scuffling noise in the hall. Glancing out, the webcam was knocked over in the hall, and Saphy and Amber were menacing a baby mouse that was crouching in fear in a corner. R and I managed to catch it (I managed to go down on my knees to do it which I couldn’t easily manage until recently) and let it out.
I bodes well for her being recovered, but not for the future well being of our rodent population, as it is the danger time of year for the babies growing up, and she suddenly seems to have remembered how to catch them.
The picture is of her relaxing with her sister after her tiring afternoon.
