The White Lady

I grew my Christmas cactus who I call “The White Lady” from a single leaf. I’ve had her for over ten years, and normally she has masses of pinkish white flowers around December.

This year, she only had one flower the week before Christmas, and looking at her, I realized that she is badly in need of being repotted. This couldn’t be done until spring, but when I looked at her in late January, lo and behold she had loads of buds.

Here is the White Lady in full bloom; not so much a Christmas cactus, as a St Valentine’s one.

Well done to the White Lady – when she finishes flowering she will be getting a new larger pot.
