Tenth Day of Mousemas – to the waterfalls

With all my medical woes over the last year, it has been a long old time since I have been up to the “Meeting of the Waters”, but today I returned.

What has been putting me off is that the path is both rough and steep, but I managed it with no difficulty.

When we got to the bridge at the top there was an inane sign and an equally inane piece of wood “blocking off” the bridge.

To my certain knowledge there is nothing wrong with the bridge because I just stepped over it and walked across.  That sign has been there for at least the last six months and it is a crying disgrace as either the National Park or the Forestry Commission have a duty of care to either a) keep it in repair if it actually needs it or b) remove the signs if no longer needed.   About what I would expect from past performance to be honest.

Anyway, it was nice to be back up there – if I am not feeling today’s walk too much in my foot tomorrow, R and I will be walking up to the top of the hydro
