Birthday

My birthday today – as it was a Monday I actually celebrated it yesterday.

R took me to the spa at the Cameron House by Loch Lomond side. This was very nice of him as spas are definitely not his bag. Rather unwillingly he went in all the different heat treatments and the Jacuzzi, but balked at the main swimming pool and the infinity pool on the roof. Actually the infinity pool was the best bit, although it was all pretty great. I would get a membership there and to hell with the expense, but it is just too far to go, particularly in winter. It is a shame because I think swimming would do me a lot of good – I will see what is happening with the Drimsynie pool over the winter (although it is going to be rather less glamorous than the Cameron House one).

I couldn’t take any photos at the spa because I didn’t want to get my phone wet. So here is one of Saphy before we left – colonizing a bag as usual.

Then we went into Helensburgh and had a tapas dinner at La Barca. I haven’t eaten there for a while and was a bit shocked at the prices which seemed to have nearly doubled since the last time I was in about 2 years ago. My Mum paid for it all and I felt a bit guilty about letting her.

Any way a nice day was had by all.
