Three Miles today

Nearly up to the top of the main hill. Once I get there (hopefully in a few days time) – I can have a go at the full Inverlounin loop walk. It is quite hard going on these paths because they are simultaneously steep and rough. Very appropriately, 3 miles is also 10,000 steps.

We saw some nice bracket fungus.

Aside from that, it was dreich with that kind of very fine rain that you don’t notice until you discover you are soaking wet. J who came with me at my slow pace looked like a bit of a drowned rat. It was nice to get back to the mock fire I have made in my office from pine cones, ornamental squash and clove oranges. The leaves are artificial – I have never had much luck in preserving the colours of dried leaves (there are plenty on our lawn though).
