What do we sea?
Well not much actually. I walked up to the “second gate” which is about half way to the “back to the road turning” on the Inverlounin loop. I actually would have gone further, but there was a forestry bulldozer doing some work on the path right at the top of the hill and I didn’t fancy trying to manoeuvre past it. Even so, I managed 2 miles with most of it either up or down hill on a rough path. Not too bad. I can also walk down steps “properly” (i.e. able to step down with my left foot rather than having to take them one step at a time) which is more than I have managed in over a year. The challenge is actually finding a set of stairs to practice on as there are none around here (apart from in peoples’ houses). We think there might be one over at Drimsynie – god knows what the people in the caravans will think if they see me going up and down next to their windows.
I paused at the bench before the gate to take in the lovely view. This was the lovely view. There was nothing to sea.
I had a glance up the path to the waterfall – it doesn’t look too bad so I will try it in a week or to. The idiots at the forestry have a sign up saying the route is closed because the bridge is out. News to the wise – the bridge is fine with just one bit of wood missing. The sad thing is that the sign is putting tourists off from visiting this lovely spot. The damage was done in October last year, and they were promising to fix it by July.
