What a lovely day

What a lovely day

Out of the house again and walked round the community garden and the river walk (1.5m). I was hobbling a bit by the end of it, but I’m making progress.

The weather was really beautiful and our plan today had been to go to the Tree Shop at the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar and buy some new fruit trees to replace our sadly lamented plum tree which passed away last year. R rightly pointed out, however, that with a huge storm probably coming tomorrow it would not be the best time to be planting trees. Instead we will be putting our battery into storm mode in case there are powercuts – this means that we sell less electricity back to the grid, but have a longer “survival” window if we are off grid. With reasonable precautions the battery will last about two days (probably more at this time of year when there are more hours of light than in Feb when we had the last powercut). But we shall see – I always take these kind of predictions with a large pinch of salt.

But we enjoyed the weather today.

I noticed walking past that the School have gathered all their apples in.

A bit of flooding on the road – may be more to come tomorrow.

Some beautiful trees.
