In and out

In and out

That is me back out of hospital after a pleasingly uneventful stay. Actually, if you have to be in hospital at all, Ross Hall in Glasgow is about as good as it gets. Comfortable, quiet, private rooms. Caring and competent staff. Good food. Quite a nice view from the window this time.

And even decent wireless this time. Their 4G still sucks though – and seems to be equally bad on all networks.

My foot was painless after the operation until about 1pm today (so approx 24 hours worth of nerve block), but it started to be painful on the way home and is moderately bad tonight. I’m sitting with it elevated to heart level with an ice pack tucked behind my knee. I was pleased to find out this time that I am allowed to be partially weight bearing on crutches right from the start as this is nothing like as bad as trying to hop around entirely non-weight bearing. So I will use a combination of wheelchair and crutches this time – it will be for four weeks initially.

Here was my dinner.

A contribution of some grapes from J who came in to see me

And a contribution of some cat litter from Saphy as found on the clean floor of my room
