House cleaning

J’s Mum died rather suddenly and this, followed by his solitary occupancy of the property left it rather sad and cluttered looking. My remit for the week (as well as attending the funeral) is to pack a load of stuff away and get the house looking nice ready for sale. It is such a very beautiful house – built for J’s parents in 1930s. The interior is in need of a bit of modernization but still has loads of charm and the garden is really lovely.
This is the view from the front door – almost an idealized English garden.

Here is the sitting room and conservatory after they have been “house doctored”.
