Caught red jawed

We got a new outside webcam yesterday because the night censor had stopped working on the old one. After R had spent 10 minutes stopping it sending our activities back to the Chinese government, he installed it near the shed feeding station.

We have long known that Lucky was a hunter, otherwise he would have had no way of feeding himself in his feral days. But now we have evidence. In the first video, he is staking out the feeding area, and you will see a mouse shoot out, take a nut and disappear into the bushes. But after five minutes more patient waiting, another one was not so fortunate. He pounces and you see him stalking off, prey in his jaws.

At least unlike Saphy and Schrodi, he just eats them and doesn’t bring them into the house alive.
