More on the water works

The waterworks upgrade is progressing at pace. All the trees that Jack Ewing had planted nearly 20 years ago have been cut down which is very sad. I know the work has to be done, but they could have gone to more effort to preserve the trees. They have promised to put them back – and believe me I shall see that they do.

However they very kindly repaired the ramp at the bottom of our drive for us. And built a nice little layby in our forest track.

The noise is mildly annoying from our house, but I suppose not that bad. I hear it more than most people would as I am so inured to the normal silence here.
