The deed is done

So I have had my foot operation and am back in my nice private room. This is my bedroom.

This is my bathroom – a wetroom no less. I’m definitely going to get one for my ensuite at home.

My leg is encased to the knee in an enormous space boot. I had a nerve block so I can feel nothing down there at the moment.

I haven’t spoken to the surgeon yet to get the details of how it went, but I still seem to have two below the knee appendages – so there doesn’t seem to be a case of “one sock too many”.

One piece of good news is that I will only be non-weight bearing for two weeks if all goes well.
