They’re back…

I’ve really missed seeing the deer in our garden. We used to get them all the time – but I haven’t seen them here in the last two years (although R saw one a few weeks ago). This morning I was filling the kettle and looked out of the window to see a face looking in.

I didn’t quite get the “startled face through basil plant” effect because by the time I grabbed the phone it was all basil plant and no deer, but I got a good picture a few seconds later.

Our sheep are also still with us – Mum right outside the back door and lamb right on top of the ruined wall of the old cottage.
