More on Ratty…

We moved the camera to the floor of the shed to see if we could work out Ratty’s mode of ingress. Sure enough, he has gnawed his way through the door at the bottom, enabling him to get into the main shed from the space in the foundations where he clearly lives (click on the pictures to enlarge).

You have to admire his audacity (particularly as you can see the foam in the pictures which R put down to keep mice out and has been chewed up), and we will leave him where he is for now – but if he shows any signs of having his family in there with him, he will need to go. By which I mean a humane trap and releasing him a few miles away – I would never do anything to hurt him.
