Stranger in a strange house

Lucky is a very strange cat. He is definitely “ours” now in the sense that he lives here most of the time – but he still unpredictably vanishes off for up to two days at a time. This may be a co-incidence, but a large number of these disappearances happen at weekends or at public holidays. So it still may be that someone else is feeding him..

He is also still aggressive at times, not in any serious way, but giving us a quick swipe round the legs if we are not quick enough at serving him food, and having the odd attempted bite when we try to comb him. R has got to the stage of being able to stroke him on the head gently, but he always pulls his jumper over his hand first!

We have inaugurated a “string session” for all three cats in the hall in the mornings when we dangle pieces of string for them in an attempt to get them to play with each other with no hisses. So far this is going quite well, but I am sure the ladies are happier on the days when Lucky is at his second home.
