The Cult of St Felix the ever hungry

I’m sad to have to report this in public, but I fear that R has joined a religious cult, or even worse has formed one of his own. He is responsible for feeding Lucky as the cat has a special technique for avoiding getting swiped by putting the plate down very quickly at an angle and backing off. In my somewhat in enfeebled state, I can’t do this. The problem (if it is a problem) is that in spite of many instructions to put the packets in the bin, R always leaves them on the kitchen surfaces. I have tried to correct this behaviour in him so many times, and with such little success, but I’ve decided that it is in fact a religious belief and that his particular cult believes that the empty packets, associated as they are with the cat goddess, are sacred and cannot be consigned to the bin.

This religious behaviour actually extends to packaging for other forms of food, and I can only presume that these are also sacred if only by association, and also need to be preserved from the bin.
Only joking, R is doing a fine job in assisting with the housework and I would not knock him for this, even if he does not always adhere to my standards!
On a slightly related subject, my arm is much better and I do feel as though I could be doing much more with it than I am. I am trying to be patient and not do too much until after I have seen the consultant on Thursday.
