Stray Cat

Oh dear – we seem to have acquired a stray cat in our garden. We saw it a few times on the webcam over night, and then yesterday it appeared in the daylight and had to be shooed away three times. It is quite scrawny and scruffy and no one in the village seems to know anything about it.

I am going to try catching it in a humane trap and taking it to our vet in Dunoon for a microchip scan. If there is no chip we will need it to be rehomed by Cats’ Protection. I feel very sorry for it because it is very cold outside and it is obviously hungry – but we can’t rehome it ourselves or start encouraging it by feeding it because the girls (Amber in particular) would be terrified of it. Also it may well be feral as it won’t let us anywhere near it.
