Tree gone

R has been very brave and has cut down a tree which has been obscuring my view for the last year with his new battery powered electric chainsaw.

I felt a bit bad about it but it was going to have to go before it got even bigger and risked falling over in a storm and hitting the house. We have a few more trees to do and although the saw itself and the associated protective clothing cost about £400 – we can now deal with the problem on an ongoing basis ourselves. This compares to last year when we paid £500 for a tree feller to remove two small trees.
