The 8th Day of Mousemas – Christmas Day

It’s Christmas. Unfortunately my Mum and Dad are not really in a state of health for them to come here any more so we went to them in Rhu on Christmas Day. J is staying with us until 27th (or longer if the weather turns bad again!)

I still did my tree – with an extra small one for R’s birthday presents.

When we left the cats were crouching on the window sill watching bird TV. When we came back, there were two prey items as contributions to the festivities.

This is their Mousemas Day carol.

Peaceful Night, Rodent filled night
Badgers and pine martens all out of sight
We would be out there in hope of a mouse
But no chance of that as we’re locked in the house
Sleep in peace on our tree.

R wakes up in a horrible fright
Saphy and Amber are clawing his tum
It’s just as well they can’t get to his bum
