Moose in the Hoose
We noticed Saphy and Amber patrolling round one of the armchairs in the lounge. We couldn’t see any sign of a rodent, but turning the chair on its side (having locked the girls in the bedroom) we managed to shake loose a little field mouse which was hiding in the base of the chair and let it go.
Amber is turning into quite a hunter. She is scared of loud noises and people standing up next to her and I sadly suspect that she has been abused in the past, but here there are no noises and she is now sitting outside near the bird feeding area for several hours a day.
Unfortunately she goes in for field mice and not voles (the Schrodi speciality) and they are very difficult to catch.
