Let the girls out
We’ve kept the girls in up until now, just so they would be settled and know Donich Lodge is their home. Saphy is showing signs of sniffing at the doors, but Amber doesn’t seem that interested. Amber is overweight and it will be good for her to go out and climb some trees.
This is all a bit nerve wracking, because when Tora and Schrodi went out for the first time in our house in Livingston, we had hoped they would stay in the large, fenced garden. And so they did, for about 5 minutes before they were over the fence and away into the woods. We stood waiting for them for nearly an hour, and then R shouted “Look up there!”. He looked as though he was going to faint until I pointed out that what he could see at the top of a very tall tree was a (grey) squirrel, not Schrodi. We have some grey hairs because of those cats.
Today, Saphy and Amber were interested in a sheep they saw out of the window.
Then they went out quite calmly for a little wander.
Then they quite quietly came in with no fuss. Girls seem to cause a lot less trouble – it is so all over the world.
