Did a stupid thing

A few months ago I got so sick of getting literally 10s of emails a day about COVID-19 which frankly I don’t want to hear about, that I put a rule in Outlook to delete all of them. I didn’t realize that a load of legitimate businesses would start putting mention of it as part of their mails so goodness knows how many mails I have missed. All be the same in a 100 years I suppose and doubtless if it was important they will come back to me. I remember when I went on holiday to India and worked for a Corporate, that when I came back after 3 weeks that I had about 1000 pieces of email. I took an executive decision and just deleted everything on the basis that if it was important they would come back to me. Obviously little of it actually was!
