No Cherries this year

The Jays which were largely absent last year have had a huge new brood. Not only are they devouring the fat balls and seeds, but they are methodically stripping my cherry tree. Every morning I look out and think that some of the cherries are nearly ripe enough to be picked, and every lunchtime any cherry with a hint of red is gone. I wish they would have a go at the apple trees come August because last year we had so many that some were left to rot. Unfortunately none of the creatures seem to like apples, and that includes R!
