Hard work keeping things going with no convenience foods, but doubtless it is good for us.
For our lunch yesterday we had home-made sourdough bread (loaf Ida), homemade humus and olives (not home grown although my Mum has an olive tree which I may pillage later). It was all very tasty although I think the humus could have done with more seasoning.
I also bought two potato planters, seed potatoes and a bag of compost. I did not have much luck with growing potatoes before as I was planting them in the ground which seems to be infested with cutworms. I think planting them in the planter in pure compost might be more likely to be successful.
