Checking our webcam last night, we had two (at least) badgers, a fox, and a pine marten. None of them seemed that interested in the nuts I had put out though, as they just had a quick sniff and moved on.
However, all the nuts were gone this morning, and turns out that this is as a result of the large number of wood pigeons which congregated in the feeding area around 6am. We have also acquired what I first thought was a very large crow, but I have now decided is a raven. I’ve seen them on Beinn Donich before, but never in the garden. It doesn’t go in for nuts but it sits in the tree outside the window and stares at me balefully, waiting to see if it can steal Beaky’s food before he gets to it. I keep expecting him to say “Nevermore”.
