High tide in the Loch

Super high tide the other day with seaweed nearly up to the door of the post office.

Not quite as bad as a few years ago when the main road was closed due to bad weather and I had to go to Glasgow via Dunoon on the ferry. There was seaweed and stones thrown up so high on to the pavements in Dunoon that it was like something out of HP Lovecraft after Cthulhu had emerged from the South Atlantic. Having said that – I have always suspected that the military bases around the Clyde Sea Lochs are in fact crewed by Deep Ones
