Eating us out of house and home

I just can’t believe how much the birds are eating at the moment. They have two large feeders which hold about 1kg of food and they are emptying them at least five times a day. They would empty them a lot more than that if R and I let them. Unfortunately the delivery of the seeds in large bags is not reliable here and sometimes takes over a week, so we always seem to have either too many seeds or too few.

I’m not convinced that they are actually genuinely hungry as they won’t eat bread or kitchen scraps – only the “real Butoni gear” of premium quality sunflower seeds. This is costing us over £100 a month at the moment. Still, I love them so it is worth the money.
