No one loves animals more than I do. I have to say though, that unless you are actually a vegan (as I have stated before, not an ethos I agree with), having a policy of banning fur, whilst allowing other animal products such as meat and leather is highly hypocritical and in fact just a piece of politically correct nonsense. There is no difference between farming a rabbit for its meat and farming it for its fur – and in fact if you are going to farm rabbits at all it is much better to use every part of them than let bits go to waste.
This is another piece of foolish political correctness, from House of Fraser this time. As they are owned by Sports Direct which as a company has a shocking human rights record, I would have thought rabbit fur was the least of their worries.
