The Moon’s a Balloon

The weather here is still fantastic. R and I went out just the back of 7:30 this morning, and the moon was still hanging in the sky over the trees like a balloon or a big silver plate.

I took some photos with my new camera, using R’s back as a kind of improvised tripod. They are not too bad, certainly better than they would have been with the phone, but could have been clearer.

It was freezing cold yesterday and we had no less than four robins in the tree near the patio. I felt very sorry for them as they don’t seem to like mixing it with the chaffinches on the seed feeder – so I put a big scoop of seeds out for them and they immediately came down to take them.
