Getting a bit tired of this country

I’ve had some very bad experiences of this country over the last few days.

Firstly, and most importantly it is clear to me that living in the Highlands we are third class citizens of UK. I lost my passport and now have had to wait in for three days for my new one to be delivered. It still hasn’t shown up and tomorrow I am going to have to ring them. It was approved on Friday and it is now Tuesday evening in spite of the claim on the website that “It would be delivered within 48 hours”

I thought that while I was waiting for it to turn up I could get a “UK Citizen Card”. But this requires a professional referee who is available at their landline between 9 and 5 every day. This landline needs to be a business number – not a residential one. It also specifically can’t be a mobile. I thought of the Doctor, the Vet, a friend who is an architect, one who is an accountant, one who is a bank official and another one who is an OBE, but none of them will be at a landline all day to receive this call. And why no mobile numbers – this is 2019 guys.

Between this and Brexit I am starting to get a bit sick of UK
