The ideal man and woman

I’m sure I am pretty old fashioned and doubtless my mum is too (although she is probably entitled to be as she is getting on a bit now). I’m not mentioning anything intimate in these descriptions but this is what I thought should be done by a man and a woman respectively.

Man

Appearance – not obese and does not have a beard or tattoos.
Occupation – something making a reasonable amount of money, but not something he is obsessed with which involves travelling to the other side of the world for weeks or working on every evening. Must be 8 to 6 at the most.
Household – doesn’t need to do any actual housework or cooking but should be able to do joinery, basic electrics, plumbing and other “man tasks”. Should not complain when asked to help out when the woman can’t do a task but should do it immediately when asked. Should put the bins out and bring them back in.
Cleanliness – should bring dishes, glasses and cutlery into the kitchen once used. Should put empty crisp packets and mousse tubs in the bin. When feeding the cat should put the empty cat food packets in the bin. Should put dirty laundry in the laundry bin and not leave it on the floor. Should either clean his own toilet and shower or not complain when the woman comes in to do it for him.
Garden – should mow the lawn and carry out other occasional tasks such as repairing shed doors as required. If anyone needs to destroy wasps nests, it is him and not the woman that carries this out.

Woman

Appearance – not obese and when out of the house, not scruffy, with clean hair. No tattoos.
Occupation – something making a reasonable amount of money, but not something she is obsessed with which involves travelling to the other side of the world for weeks or working on every evening. Must be 8 to 6 at the most.
Household – she should keep the house clean to a high standard. Prepare home cooked lunch and dinner every day with fresh home made bread. Gets up at 7am to make coffee and then make additional coffee for the man at 10:30 and 2:30. Does not complain if the man asks for extra food items. Deals with the laundry and any repairs to clothing necessary (like sowing on buttons). Does all the ironing. Changes the bed linen every week. Should pack for the man when he is going away. She orders the food and makes sure supplies don’t run out.
Cleanliness – Does all cooking, does all cleaning, does all laundry. Tidies the man’s office. Cleans the man’s bathroom if he doesn’t do it himself.
Garden – does everything apart from the heavy rough work. Can mow the lawn if necessary and in practice generally does.
