Beautiful day, beautiful flowers

Well Argyll is in full bloom now. This is one of the most beautiful times of the year, and as yet (touch wood) no sign of midges although it is normally around this time that they turn up. The weather is still quite fresh though which tends to keep them off a bit.

I know people don’t like rhododendrons but they are very pretty at this time of year.

We have a really pretty hawthorn tree in the garden which now has its flowers out, although the other blossoming fruit trees at the back are nearly over now.

Unfortunately the consequence of the good weather is that the grass is growing at an unbelievable rate and now needs to be mowed yet again.
