Squirrels

We have loads of squirrels this year. I saw eight at one time on the feeder yesterday and we are seeing loads both in the woods and going through the village

I’m not convinced of the ultimate viability of the red squirrel in this area as I have heard nasty rumours that greys have arrived in Arrochar. I’ve nothing against the poor individual wee beasties (or any other creature apart from midgies) but I really hope that the stories about pine martens supressing the greys in the Highlands is actually true.

Anyway, as R always says, no point in borrowing trouble as the little reds seem to be going strong here at the moment.
