Simple but good…

This made a very tasty lunch which was ready from scratch in an hour.

I made some home made rolls using my super-fast microwave method – and we had them with some baked peppers.   Normally I do a fancy stuffing, but on this occasion I just cut each pepper in half and took the seeds out (they were the long, skinny ones).  Drizzled olive oil into an oven dish, and put the peppers in it.  Topped each half with three cherry tomatoes, a thinly sliced clove of garlic and some chopped thyme (basil would also have been good but I didn’t have any).  Splash generously with olive oil and cook in the oven for about 20 minutes until the peppers are slightly charred.  Mop up the lovely juices with the bread….

When I went back to my office after lunch, I discovered that there was nowhere for me to sit.  R and I have an office chair each, and we bought an extra two for the cats (don’t get me started on the 100s of other places there are for cats to sleep), but we are constantly moving the spares around from office to office as the cats like to oust us from the chair we are using.  I’m not sure if this is dominance behaviour, or just that they like the chair pre-warmed.
