Beinn an Lochain
R and I climbed Beinn an Lochain (Hill of the small loch) today. This is the one next to the Rest and be Thankful opposite Beinn Donich. As Beinn Donich is our home hill and always has to be “number one climb” I will say that an Lochain is in close competition with Beinn Cruachan for the number two slot.
There was a great path up and the weather was simply fantastic. From the summit the views in all directions were something else.
On the way down we met a handful of people (not anything like the number for the Cobbler/Narnain/Ime) and one group were celebrating the fact that one guy had done ALL the Munros and this was his last Corbett. I did note that I hope he hadn’t missed Cnoc Coinnich.
Anyway a fantastic day and it was so warm when we got back that I ate an ice lolly sitting by the side of the pond and watching dragonflies chasing each other over the water.
