‘Tis the season to be naughty….

The cats have been incredibly active over the last few days. Maybe it is having other people in their den, or perhaps it is all the Christmas titbits they have been getting, but they have been acting more like kittens than staid seniors in late middle age.

My Mum has bought me a couple of nice decorative garlands made out of cardboard shapes attached to a red string. First of all I put it on the wall at waist height, but the string immediately attracted Tora, who started attacking it. So I rehung it at above head height, along the top of three framed pictures with tinsel on the top. I then left the scene… About two minutes later, there was a bump and I ran back to see the scene in the picture. He must have jumped about six feet straight in the air to catch that string.

And what a battle my Mum has had trying to reupholster a chair with the ‘assistance’ of Schrodi, who is desperate to sharpen his claws on it.
