New Offices

As I have said a couple of times before, R and I have been having our rather dismal (aren’t all garages dismal) double garage converted into offices. He has the rear one (with a new en-suite), and I have the front with French windows.

It’s been a huge amount of disruption over the last couple of months, and then a lot of hard work decorating (R has done his best but he would admit that it is not really his thing), but now it is finished and it is all worth it. My room is more a private ‘boudoir’ (so says R) with computers in it than a pure office, but it is the last word in comfort, and the views through the French windows are fantastic.

It is hard to believe that a few months ago it was a damp, dark concrete box where we dumped all our old cardboard boxes.

The cats like it too as you can see from the pictures. In the rest of the house the window sills are too narrow for them to sleep on, but in the new area they are wide and will take a cushion.
