Badger in the Snow

It’s been a while since I put a wildlife video up – so here is one from last night.

We had heavy snow yesterday (it was off and on nearly all day) – in total we must have had nearly 10cm. That may not sound much, but I can assure you that by the time you have shovelled that amount off a 70m drive way, you will know all about it.

I put out nuts for the wildlife every night, but in the depth of winter we don’t see much of them. But Mr Badger has been back regularly over the last few days, and that ties in with when we started to see him more last year.

The video is of him looking for nuts in the snow at about 5am – unfortunately he doesn’t find any – largely because they were all eaten by him (or another badger of course) at about 2am. I still felt sorry for him though…
