A ‘Goily’ Day

When the weather here is very changeable (i.e. usually) we call it a ‘Goily’ day. We generally see it when the wind is from the West and is blowing the Atlantic weather fronts straight over the mountains and the loch towards us. The old lady we bought the house from said that she called Beinn Bheula (the mountain that appears in so many beautiful views out of the front of the house) ‘The Weather Ben’ because the weather we can see happening there out of the window, generally happens to us about twenty minutes later.

Anyway, R and I went out the other day and left the time lapse camera running on the outside windowsill. The results are quite spectacular as you can see in the video….
