Wildlife Recap

These are the creatures we have seen in the immediate vicinity (our garden or within a mile of the Donich) since we moved in back in October.

Pine Marten

Garden birds -Tits (great, coal, blue), Robin, Chaffinch, Blackbird, Thrush, Sparrow

Key ones I would still like to see would be wildcat (I’m not holding my breath for that one sadly), stoat, weasel, hedgehog and some marine mammals (there are seals, porpoises and whales in the loch). I’d also be thrilled to see a kingfisher on the Donich and a Golden Eagle – I’ve seen both of them in the past but not around here yet.

I’m not sure what the record is for maximum percentage of creatures spotted in UK is – but I think we must be somewhere near it.

Not having a suitable picture for this, I am adding one of a Highland Tiger (aka Schrodi) up a tree and ready to drop on someone.
