Strangers in our Midst
We just acquired some suet balls which we thought the birds would like. According to the RSPB it is better to put them on the ground rather than hang them from the feeder, so we duly put them inside the cages in case the cats took an interest. The next day we found the cage ripped out of the ground, the area around it half dug up and the suet balls gone… I should point out that the cage was attached to the ground by several 6 inch long tent pegs (to stop it blowing into the river), so whatever attacked it must have been really strong
