It doesn’t stop nature though because yesterday I saw the first lamb of the season, and today R and I heard another one when we were walking through the woods (farm animals around here don’t have a lot of restrictions placed on their right to roam). I did take a picture but unfortunately it was too far away to be any good (so the actual featured image is of some daffodils struggling in the morning frost).

The frogs are nearly gone now, although there is the occasional one still putting in an appearance in the pond. The big thing at the moment here is the owls – sitting in the lounge at night they are incredibly loud – sometimes there seems to be at least six of them calling to each other from the trees.
