This was the river right at the bottom of our garden during snow last year.

It looks as though we are going to be seeing more snow over the next few days…

Advent 20th Dec – Heiland Coos

The “Hieland Coos” are a favourite of mine. Many mornings when we walk round our usual circuit they are out in the field, and often on the path. They are very placid and will let you walk within a foot of them without budging. I often think that if you didn’t know this it would be quite intimidating walking past them as they are substantial animals with foot long horns.

Advent 9th Dec – Sunset over Drymsynie

The caravan park is normally rather an ugly blemish on the side of the loch, but this sunset managed to make it beautiful. I took this on 28th Dec last year which is always a peaceful interlude between Christmas and R’s birthday which is on 29th.

Advent 8th Dec – Winter Wonderland

This was our garden in Feb the first year we were here. I am still ‘hoping’ for a really snowy “2010 style” winter here.

Advent 7th Dec – Lemons and Limes

A big pile of lemons and limes with my Christmas cake in the background. There is something very festive about citrus fruit – in this case probably because they are to be made into Margaritas which I only generally have at Christmas.
