A nice recipe
R is always munching on Stoats health bars. These are ok nutrionally but are expensive and always taste rather synthetic to me.
So yesterday I made some of my own.
200g Quaker oats (from Cupar no less!) mixed with 150g mixed dried fruit and nuts and cinamon to taste. Add 60g smooth peanut butter, 50g of honey and a mashed medium banana. Mix together and push firmly into a lined baking tray. Cook at 160C fan for about 25 minutes or until starting to brown. Leave to cool completely and then cut into bars.
Very nice, quite cheap and don’t taste synthetic. Only trouble is that R doesn’t greatly like them (or at least shows no enthusiasm for them) and I like them too much because they are quite fattening if eaten in quantity. And they are very moreish.
