I went back to Ross Hall yesterday to have my 47 staples out. This was not a particularly pleasant experience as the staples look rather like upholstery staples, and the tool for removing them looks like, well put it this way, I have one in my sewing kit. It is only mildly painful, but the tool makes an unpleasant twanging sound. Also the nurse noted that the surgeon had put them unusually close together and she had a bit of difficulty getting some of them out.
All seemed to have gone pretty well and I am healing up well so far. I also managed in the hospital without the wheelchair this time.
Needless to say, R did not join me in the treatment room, although I won’t knock him for a moment as he did drive me to Glasgow. He wouldn’t stop for fish and chips though.
On the way back we stopped in Rhu and I gave my Mum a banana bread I had baked, and this picture from the cats.
