Poor old Tora

Tora is very frail now.  He sleeps all the time and I only hope he is not in pain.

It has been three years since we lost his twin brother Schrodi to cancer, and we had the courage to have him put to sleep when it became apparent that he was suffering.  I have seen too many people (all of whom love animals very much), keep an animal friend (I won’t say pet, because T&S were much more than pets to R and I) for longer than is kind.

I’ve always believed that when it is time to go, it is time to go and there is no point in prolonging the agony.  I only hope that the same mercy will be extended to me when my time comes.  I also hope we will have the strength to do the right thing by Tora.
