I must say you can hand it to Tora for sheer nerve. In the middle of the night he had an encounter with a badger which must have been three times his size – he bopped it on the nose and it fled in panic.
Loads and loads of wildlife at the moment – when I got up this morning there were five jays, a huge crow, four squirrels, several pigeons and lots of small birds. Two badgers and the young pine marten over night. A heron on the pond this morning – amusingly it seemed to be eyeing up the plastic heron which the former owners of the house put there to discourage herons!
