A bold little visitor

I was just walking back to the kitchen with (another) batch of brambles this afternoon, when what should I see but the little fellow in the picture having a munch on the sunflower seeds under the bird feeder. He seemed quite fearless and let me take some close ups of him before he picked up a seed and calmly hopped off into the bushes.

It was well that he did, because Schrodi turned up a few minutes later, and I do not think the two of them would have got on well together.
